THE CHALLENGE

The world we’re preparing students for is changing beneath our feet.

The question isn’t whether the world will change.

When the world changes, how do we change with it without losing who we are?

Dr. Manny Scott’s doctoral research examined how highly regarded cross-cultural communicators developed the cultural self-awareness and intercultural competence needed to become more effective and appropriate across cultural differences. From that research, he developed BRIDGE, a framework for understanding the process of disruption, awareness, learning, adaptation, and contextualization.

BREAKING

Something disrupts our normal.

What worked before no longer works the same way. Assumptions are challenged. Disequilibrium creates the opportunity for growth.

REALIZATION

We become aware.

My normal isn’t everyone’s normal. And what was normal yesterday may no longer be sufficient for the world emerging today.

INCARNATIONAL HUMILITY

We become teachable.

We recognize the limits of what we know, enter the worlds of others with humility, and become willing to learn.

DESIRE

We decide growth is worth it.

Awareness alone doesn’t produce change. We need motivation to learn, adapt, and become more effective.

GROWTH

We learn what this new world requires.

ENGAGEMENT

We contextualize what we’ve learned.

We apply new understanding in our actual classrooms, schools, relationships, decisions, communication, leadership, and work.

To become more effective and appropriate in a changing world, educators need more than awareness. They need opportunities to learn, apply, reflect, adapt, and grow.

Dr. Scott identifies seven essential literacies for educators navigating an AI-shaped future. These are not seven technologies to master. They are seven areas of understanding that help educators make better decisions, remain relevant, and prepare students for what’s ahead.

For more than 25 years, Dr. Manny Scott has walked into schools and districts around the world and reminded people why their work matters. Here’s what educators and leaders say happens next.

It’s not one of these things where tomorrow we’re just going to go back to our regular business.

BRING BRIDGE TO YOUR PEOPLE

Prepare your educators for the world that’s coming.

Prepare your educators for the world that’s coming.

The world is changing quickly. Your educators don’t need another presentation about everything that’s changing. They need a way to make sense of it, determine what matters, and move forward without losing the deeply human work at the heart of education.

BRIDGE to the Future gives them that framework.

Through Dr. Scott’s research-based BRIDGE framework and Seven Literacies, your people will leave better equipped to navigate change, use emerging technology wisely, strengthen their Human Advantage, and prepare students to flourish in an AI-shaped world.

The future is coming either way.

Let’s prepare your people for it.

Tell us what you’re planning, and we’ll contact you to talk through your goals, available dates, and next steps.
